Who are Smash Hits?
We are an inclusive social and competitive badminton club open to all members and allies of the LGBT+ community.
Where does the club play?
The club runs sessions in both London and Sussex. Our main London session is on Saturdays. As we are currently between permanent venues it is best to check our booking page for more information on upcoming sessions.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. All bookings must be made online in advance of attending a session.
What should I bring with me?
Please bring your own racket and wear shoes suitable for badminton. It can get hot in the sports hall so remember to bring some water. Feather shuttles are provided for all sessions.
Do I need to be a club member to come along?
Most sessions are open to both members and non members. It is recommended to come along a few times to the club before deciding if you'd like to become a member.
How do I become a member?
Go to the Membership page on the website where you can sign up online. Members can enjoy a range of benefits including reduced session and tournament fees, invites to social events, access to members play sessions and any group coaching workshops that take place during a club session.
Do you offer coaching?
Absolutely! The club is owned and run by a qualified coach and coaching is available for both individuals and groups. This can take place on the day of the session or at another time of your convenience. Get in touch to discuss your coaching requirements.
What playing levels are welcome?
We welcome players of all skill levels to the club from beginners through to advanced players. Beginners should join our Beginners Coaching and Games sessions where they can take part in fun coaching activities to learn the basics of the game.
How do I cancel my booking?
You must give a minimum of 24 hour's notice if you wish to cancel a booking and either receive a refund or move your booking to another date. You can do this by logging into the online account you created at the time of booking or contacting the club directly.
